Introducing Leading European Competence Approach into Teacher Training Curriculum for Ukraine's Resilient

June 18, 2025

From June 18 to 20, 2025, representatives of the ERASMUS+ KA2 LECTURE- 101179602-GAP-101179602 project "Introducing Leading European Competence Approach into Teacher Training Curriculum for Ukraine's Resilient" spent busy and productive days at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. The visit was a key milestone in the implementation of the project, opening up new opportunities for professional development and strategic planning. Project coordinator Antonella Poche (Tor Vergata University of Rome) moderated and chaired the meeting. Representatives of Ukrainian universities were present in person, while Diana Andone (Polytechnic University of Timisoara) and Gemma Tur Ferrer (University of the Balearic Islands) joined remotely.

The main purpose of the visit was to study advanced European experience:

• In-depth analysis of case studies from EU countries.

• Benchmarking — studying best practices.

• Desktop research and expert consultations for the development of new educational programs.

On June 18, 2025, Professor Antonella Poche introduced participants to the teacher training system in Italy. Particular attention was paid to the unique Verba sequentur educational model, which aims to develop critical thinking and critical reading and writing skills.

Exciting master classes were held on the use of virtual reality (VR) technologies in the educational process. The value of this experience lay in gaining practical skills in integrating digital tools, VR, and artificial intelligence (AI) into the learning process. The most impressive part was the practical session, during which participants immersed themselves in the virtual spaces of Italian museums, in particular the Tor Vergata University Museum, which allowed them to experience firsthand the enormous potential of the latest technologies for learning.
