During the second day of the study visit to the University of Tartu, participants continued exploring the university’s approaches to organizing a modern professional development system for faculty and the digitalization of the educational process.

A key part of the day was the visit to the Centre for Learning and Teaching. Kadri Steinbach, Head of the Centre, introduced the participants to the mission and strategic priorities of the unit. Participants learned how the Centre guides and inspires lecturers to implement research-based and learning-centered teaching methods, jointly designing a modern and meaningful learning environment. Participants explored how the university systematically supports teaching skills development, e-learning, and curriculum methodology based on the principles of good teaching practice, research-basedness, and collaboration.

The technological support of education was presented by Kait Krull, Web Developer at the University of Tartu. During the training session "Digital tools used for learning and teaching in University of Tartu," participants gained insights into the principles behind the creation and functioning of the university's internal digital platforms, which ensure transparent and efficient communication between all stakeholders in the educational process.

The training sessions "Interactive and Engaging Teaching Strategies," led by Anu Sarv, PhD, Academic Developer, were of particular practical value. These sessions served as a true laboratory for pedagogical experimentation: we didn't just review a palette of modern teaching methods but also analyzed each one, the mechanics of interaction and predicting their effectiveness in the classroom. For the teaching community, such sessions are vital, as they transform academic theory into a functional arsenal of tools.

The conclusion of the second day provided participants with many valuable ideas and professional inspiration. The experience gained offers a fresh perspective on the organization of the educational process and opens broad prospects for the implementation of innovative approaches in the future.
