On December 9, the project team began the first day of the study visit to Politehnica University of Timi?oara (UPT).

The programme began with a presentation by Dr.ing. Diana Andone, Director of the Department of Digital Education at UPT. During the session “ABC to Learning Design and Digital Competences”, participants explored the specifics of learning design, the implementation of digital tools, and the opportunities provided by a systematic approach to developing digital skills.

The next lecture, delivered by Dr.ing. Andrei Ternauciuc, Head of Virtual Campus UPT, introduced participants to the university’s experience with Open Tools in Education and the Open Badges system.

Later in the day, the participants, together with Oleksandra Golovko (University of Tartu), discussed urgent issues related to equipment procurement and its further integration into the educational process.

The day concluded with visits to ExperimentariumTM and the UPT Technical Museum. Participants saw VR and MR demonstrations and explored historical exhibits, including Romania’s first university computer – MECIPT-1.

The first day of the visit provided many valuable ideas, new knowledge, and inspiration for further work. Ahead lies a series of intensive meetings and fruitful exchanges of European experience!
